Chris Little is a partner at Redpath and Company and leads the construction and real estate industry team, providing strategic direction to a team of talented professionals who bring industry expertise and proactive, innovative solutions to a diverse group of clients. He is responsible for overall service delivery to the construction and real estate client base, including a focus on client engagement and satisfaction. Chris is dedicated to helping clients grow and evolve their businesses by leveraging deep industry knowledge and delivering an exceptional customer experience through personalized service.
Chris provides a unique business perspective, having served the construction industry as a professional services provider and through his tenure as a construction business executive. His technical expertise as an accountant and CPA, coupled with decades of first-hand industry knowledge, allows him to understand the multitude of challenges facing construction industry leaders—and ultimately how to solve those challenges and turn them into opportunities. He uses his experiences to bring value to clients in all aspects and life cycles of their business.
Prior to joining Redpath and Company in 2024, Chris served as a senior vice president for a Fortune 500 infrastructure construction company that provided innovative solutions for energy, communications, heavy civil, and industrial business sectors. His job responsibilities included strategic planning and direction, organizational structure development, and implementation and management of all financial activities within his business unit. Chris also had direct oversight of the finance, accounting, human resources, payroll, and IT support functions for the organization. His tenure was marked with several restructurings, which saw him grow multiple low to mid hundred-million-dollar revenue business units to well over $1 billion through profitable growth strategies. Chris was also responsible for front-end due diligence and the integration of several acquired businesses into the company post-acquisition, which included developing and implementing new policies and procedures and maintaining culture and employee engagement.
Chris grew his accounting and finance expertise over a decade while working for a large, multinational accounting firm, managing construction attestation engagements for clients ranging in size from $5 million to $1.1 billion in revenue. He gained extensive expertise analyzing and interpreting construction contacts, preparing and reviewing GAAP financial statements, establishing internal control systems, developing process improvement policies, and conducting confirmatory buy and sell side due diligence procedures for construction clients. As a member of the firm’s construction industry technical committee, Chris was responsible for conducting research and analysis of emerging construction industry accounting and reporting issues, developing tools, processes and audit methodology in response to new accounting standards, and delivering construction audit training that highlighted the best practices in construction audits.
Chris is a former vice president of communications for the Construction Financial Management Association (Twin Cities chapter) and also served on the association’s board of directors.
